FAQs

Where & when are appointments available?

Appointments are available at my treatment room in Gloucester on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. To make an appointment please contact Emma on 07949 121431 or you can send an email to emma@emmajonesmassage.co.uk

What should I wear?

Remedial or Pregnancy Massage – Depending on the area of the body being treated removal of some clothing will be required so please wear something that is comfortable to lie down in and easy to remove.

Indian Head Massage or Seated Accupressure – These treatments are performed without the removal of clothing, therefore please wear something that you are comfortable to sit in for the length of the treatment time.

Thai Foot Massage – Access to the lower part of your legs is required so ideally some loose fitting trousers that can be rolled up.

Hot Stones Massage – Access to your back, neck and shoulders is required and possibly your legs so please ensure you wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to remove.

Please note
Towels are used during all treatments to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing experience. You will always be required to keep your underwear on, therefore please ensure that appropriate underwear is worn to any treatment that requires the removal of clothing.

What is the length of time for each treatment?

The first appointment needs to be 1 hour as it includes a consultation which involves asking about your medical history and if you have a specific issue you want help with to establish how we can get the best out of the treatment for you.  Your current lifestyle will be discussed to help identify and provide advice on how to modify any factors that could be causing stress, pain or tension. Follow-up appointments are either 1 hour or 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends what is found during the first session and how your body responds to the massage as to how many treatments are necessary. If I feel that another type of therapy would be more beneficial for you I will refer you to an appropriate therapist accordingly. Some people like to have regular treatments purely for therapeutic purposes, it is entirely up to you how regular you want them to be.

What if I am unable to make it to my appointment?

Appointments cancelled or rearranged with more than 24 hours notice will not incur any additional fees.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time will incur a 50% charge of the treatment cost.
I reserve the right to charge the full cost of the treatment for appointments that are missed without any prior notice.
